Volume 76: Oldies but goodies….

They somehow came to my mind in the last few days and I thought I’d have to share those with you. No specific theme , just great old songs. Enjoy, don’t miss the last one – and let me know your favorite!

Kansas – Dust in the wind (very nice acoustic version)

Procul Harum – Whiter shade of pale

Kraftwerk – Autobahn

Steppenwolf – Born to be wild

Peter Green – In the Skies (listen to his other songs on Youtube…)

Crystal Gayle – Don’t it make my brown eyes blue (a little secret: I was SO in love with that girl and that song when I was 16…) (poor video but Audio HQ: click here)

  1. A really nice version of Dust in the wind. I can’t deside between Kansas and Crystal Gayle, both songs go with my mood today.
    I stopped listening to the Kraftwerk Song in the middle. Wuhä! I like The Model but that Autobahn Song was too much for today.

    @Katja: sorry for Autobahn:-)

  2. Your blog, your choice. 🙂 And I really liked the other ones.

    good! 🙂

  3. Wow! ‘In the Skies’, that was a rarity. Green cut that years after his glory days with the Mac. My favorite track from that late 70s/early 80s era was ‘The Apostle’, it was a return to his ‘Albatross’ guitar sound. Thanks, great posts!
